Lily Pedersen
Education & Credentials
Lily received her Juris Doctor from Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Prior to law school, she earned a bachelor’s degree in History and American Studies from the University of Birmingham, UK, and attended Bellarmine University, KY, as part of her year abroad program.
Internships and Training
While in law school, Lily received a CALI award for receiving the highest grade in the class for Legal Research and Writing and a Highest Pro Bono Distinction. She was a founding member and executive managing editor of the Corporate and Business Law Journal and an associate editor for the Law Journal for Social Justice.
During law school, Lily prioritized gaining practical experience and interned almost every semester.
- Judicial intern at the United States District Court for the District of Arizona.
- Legal writing intern at a national law firm.
- Interned in-house at an international technology corporation.
- Interned at a real estate development company.
In her final year, she was an associate at ASU’s Innovation Advancement Clinic where she worked with start-up companies. She also worked pro bono at the Arizona Legal Center with a focus on immigration. Prior to law school, she interned for a family court judge in Louisville, KY, which motivated her to go to law school.
Personal
In her free time at law school, Lily was an executive board member for the Women Law Students Association and participated in the Grads to Golf program which teaches graduate students how to play golf. In the summer of her second year, she solo backpacked across Europe and Asia, visiting 23 countries.
Outside of the law, Lily’s main interests are traveling, seeing friends and reformer pilates. She has been to 57 countries and visits her family back in the UK as often as she can.
